DECLUTTER THE MIND AND HEART

After my yoga practice this morning, I felt a deep sense of lightness and clarity. As I rolled up my mat, I couldn’t help but reflect on the parallel between the physical act of spring cleaning and the internal work we can do to declutter our minds and hearts.

Just as we clear our homes of unnecessary items, the post-yoga stillness invites us to examine what we’re holding onto emotionally and mentally. Are there resentments, grudges, or negative thought patterns that are weighing us down, taking up valuable space in our consciousness?

The invitation is to approach this inner spring cleaning with the same care and intention as we would our physical spaces. Sit with yourself, listen inwardly, and ask tough questions. Is this anger or hurt serving me anymore? Is replaying this grievance in my mind helpful, or is it time to let it go?

Sometimes the answer is clear, certain things have outlived their usefulness and it’s time to release them. Other times, the path forward is more difficult. But the practice remains the same - meet yourself with compassion and the courage to lighten your load.
